Borromean Islands, Lake Maggiore

The Borromean Islands are a set of tiny islands emerging in the Lake Maggiore, marking part of the border between regions of Piemonte and Lombardia in Northern Italy. Almost unhabitated nowadays they host old villages of fishermen and are possession of the Borromeo  family since centuries ago. The islands are known for their beautiful private gardens and to offer an astonishing view on the sweet surrounding of Lake Maggiore and the Alps. I am sure you will enjoy the visit!
